School Cultural Programmes
From January 2027, NonScenes in collaboration with The Quickening Theatre Company and The South African Poetry Project (ZAPP) will be launching innovative cultural programmes for South African schools, aimed at students from Grade 8 to Matric. Combining theatre, poetry, museology, and podcasting, our programmes gives learners opportunities to engage with literature and history creatively, while developing skills that extend beyond the classroom.
Aligned with the CAPS curriculum, our programmes will help learners to:
-
Develop their critical thinking skills.
-
Enhance their language and communication skills.
-
Work both independently and collaboratively.
-
Build confidence, creativity and self-expression.
-
Become socially aware and actively engaged global citizens.
